Hello, fellow card makers! I think Stampendous Bear Hugs Die Set is absolutely darling. This fun die set consists of a large bear that I used in a previous post, Spellbinder’s Hugs Collection featuring Bear Hugs, and a small bear. For this card, I have used multiple small bears in tones of blue and blue-green to create a sweet slimline WELCOME BABY CARD.
The card base measures 3 1/2" by 8 1/2". A soft blue panel of the same size embossed with Seamless Floral Background Embossing Folder was adhered to it.
I used a paper pack with different tones of blue and blue greens and selected four shades. The small bear, scarf and hearts were cut from each of the four colours.
The bear die was also used to cut white sheet foam and the bears were stacked. For the bear that would be holding the sign, one foam arm was trimmed off. The arms have score lines and after this bear was stacked, the arm was creased and folded.
Different coloured scarves were adhered to the bears.
The bears were arranged at alternating angles, like a zig zag!, and adhered to the card.
The hearts and the scarves were coated with Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard. I left everything overnight to dry completely. The White Blizzard dries clear and I haven't found anything that is more sparkly! And I love sparkle!
The Welcome Baby sentiment from It's My Party Glimmer Sentiment was foiled with gold on the same light blue card stock used on the background. The corner of the sentiment was adhered to the paw of the arm folded over the bear and a foam square was placed under the main area of the sentiment.
Small black beads were adhered for the eyes and nose.
The card was finished up with glittery hearts!
