The Simon Says Stamp Sugar ‘n Spice Release is filled with festive warmth.! Today I’m sharing three cards that feature the Inside Greetings Holiday sentiment set — a beautiful collection of classic and heartfelt messages perfect for your Christmas projects. Each design also showcases a different embossing folder technique to create texture and seasonal sparkle.

Supplies
Distress Ink: Walnut Stain
Pigment Ink: White, Metallic Silver
Cardstock: Kraft, Red, Deep Blue, shades of Grey, Pearlized Blue
1/4” Gold Glitter Washi Tape
Foam Adhesive, Crystals, Burlap Ribbon

Scandinavian Winter
For the first card, I started with a panel of kraft cardstock embossed with the Scandinavian Christmas Embossing Folder.
The raised areas were rubbed with white pigment ink to bring out the charming Nordic details.
The edges were softly distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink for a vintage finish.
The embossed panel was trimmed to 2 inches wide and adhered to a red cardstock base, separated by a ¼-inch strip of gold glitter washi tape for a touch of holiday shimmer.
The sentiment from Inside Greetings Holiday was stamped in black ink. A sweet chickadee die cut—crafted from shades of grey cardstock and detailed with white spatter—was perched above the sentiment. A few crystals completed this rustic, elegant winter scene.

Gingerbread Joy
For the second card, a panel of white cardstock was embossed with the Christmas Cookies Embossing Folder. Each cookie was coloured with Copic Marker: E55, the perfect gingerbread shade! The raised details were then lightly rubbed with white pigment ink for that just-iced look.
To add festive dimension, I embellished the cookies with Nuvo Crystal Drops: Simply White—the perfect finishing touch! The sentiment from Inside Greetings Holiday was heat embossed in gold on a strip of gold vellum. The strip was wrapped around the lower portion of the panel and secured at the back before adhering it to the card base. A pair of burlap bows accent the sentiment, adding cozy, homespun texture..

All Is Calm, All Is Bright
The final card begins with a piece of deep blue cardstock cut to an A2 panel.
A rectangular opening was die cut from the centre to frame the sentiment.
The panel was then embossed with the Filigree Snowflakes Embossing Folder, and the raised design brushed with metallic silver ink for a frosty sheen.
The sentiment, from Inside Greetings Holiday, was stamped on pearlized blue cardstock and adhered behind the opening to the card base. The blue card front followed, popped up with foam tape. A silver glitter frame—cut using the A2 Thin Frames—was added for a polished finish. Finally, clear crystals were placed on the snowflake centers to make the whole card shimmer.
Three Embossed Holiday Looks 🎄
From Scandinavian textures to gingerbread warmth and snowflake elegance, the Sugar ‘n Spice release offers endless possibilities for cozy, handcrafted Christmas cards. Each design begins with an embossed base — proof that a single technique can create three completely different holiday moods.
