Hello friends! I have another project featuring some amazing products in Spellbinders’ Bougie Birthday Collection. I am in love with the Born To Sparkle 3D Embossing Folder & Stencil! The coordinating stencil really takes these embossed gems to the next level of gorgeous! I have used it to create a card and also a gift card holder using the Treat Yourself Gift Card Holder for a ‘bougie’ birthday set!

To prepare for embossing, white card stock was die cut with the frame die from Hooray! It’s Your Birthday and the scalloped panel included in the Treat Yourself Gift Card Holder.
The panels were embossed with the Born To Sparkle 3D Embossing Folder & Stencil.
The panels were positioned on the back of the stencil and held in place with low tack tape. The gems were coloured with Distress Oxide Inks using detail blending brushes using Chipped Sapphire, Abandoned Coral and Peacock Feathers. After the gems were coloured, white pigment ink was applied on top before removing the stencil.

The dies used to cut the panels were also used to cut white sheet foam. The panels were stacked. The larger panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base. The other panel was adhered to the gift card holder cut from the Treat Yourself Gift Card Holder.
Using the BetterPress System , Bougie Birthday Sentiments were pressed on an BetterPress Porcelain A2 Panel with Black BetterPress Ink . All of the sentiments are pressed with one plate and then cut with the coordinating die. Two of the sentiments were used for the card; one was mounted directly to the card base underneath the embossed panel, and the second sentiment was mounted on foam and adhered to the centre of the panel.
The sentiment for the gift card holder was die cut using Classy Numbers from black cardstock. The number 60 was adhered to the front of the holder and the rest of the sentiment was adhered inside.
A crystal was added to each of the embossed gems. Blue, pink and deep blue crystals were adhered to the gems coordinating the colours.
