It’s all about the tropics and the perfect summertime vibe! The bonus items included in this month’s ALL-CLUBS CRATE feature two sets: an adorable hula dancing penguin and a large die set that creates an actual hula dancer.

For the hula dancer card, I began with a piece of kraft cardstock embossed with the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. The raised areas were highlighted by rubbing over them with the pad of a Distress Oxide Walnut Stain ink pad. The panel was adhered to an A2-sized card base.

The third largest arch die included in the Perfect Touch Arches die set was cut from Cosmic cardstock along with black sheet foam. These were stacked together and adhered to the card front.

The hula dancer is easy to assemble and was created using a combination of kraft, black, blush, beeswax, and coral cardstock. Her feet were adhered to the stand, which was cut from kraft and rainforest cardstock. The dancer and stand were popped up with foam squares and adhered to the center of the arch.

The stand was finished with the Aloha sentiment cut from blush cardstock and adhered to a black oval background.

To finish the scene, florals borrowed from the Large Die of the Month  were cut from rainforests, chiffon, and beeswax cardstock. The final element was the cute tiki torch cut from kraft, beeswax, coral, and black cardstock.

The second card features a super easy interactive element.I began by using the Open Lace Frame & Landscapes die set. The frame die, along with one of the smaller insert dies, was taped together and used to cut breeze cardstock and white sheet foam. The frame pieces were stacked and centered on an A2 card base.

The blue rectangular cutout was retained, and the same die was used to cut kraft cardstock. The kraft cardstock was then cut with one of the Landscape dies to create the sandy ground. This piece was adhered to the blue rectangle and inset back into the lace frame.

A sentiment from the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month was stamped onto the kraft ground piece.

The penguin was assembled using black and white cardstock with touches of grey, green, blush, coral, and ivory. For the interactive element, the penguin was attached using a Mini Wobbler.

To finish off the card, a leafy spray with three small flowers from the Large Die of the Month was adhered to the corner of the frame.
