Spellbinders’ 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Starry Snowfall, is a unique and beautiful snowflake background. I love that some of the snowflakes are framed giving them a medallion vibe. These cards also feature the mittens from the Large Die of the Month.

The layered backgrounds for these cards were created with Scalloped and Stitched Edge Ovals; a gorgeous nesting die set. The scallop and stitched ovals were cut from cream coloured cardstock. The stitched oval was embossed with the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. The oval that nests between the cream ovals were cut from Colorwheel Cardstock Coral and Waterfall. The ovals were layered onto an A2 sized black card base.

The mittens were created using the Large Die of the Month. The palms and cuffs were cut from Coral and Waterfall and the mittens and thumbs from Hello It’s Me 6X6 Designer Paper. Check out the VIDEO for Large die of the Month to see how the mittens were assembled. The mitten pairs were adhered together and embroidery floss, coordinated with the coloured cardstock, attached to the mittens. They were hung at the top of the oval using the bow included in the Scalloped and Stitched Edge Ovals set. The cards were finished off with a cute Mini Wooden Cothespins that were darkened with Distress Stain
