Spellbinder’s Large Die of the the Month for April

Updated: May 9, 2023

Hello, friends! I have two cards featuring Spellbinder's Large Die Of the Month, Punch & Pierce Frame & Sentiments. This beautiful set includes a gorgeous detailed frame and large die cut sentiments. I have created an A2 sized card and a 5" by 7" vellum shaker. The April "New Subscriber" registration window will be available April 6 - 27th while supplies last

A2 SIZED CARD

  • The frame die was used to cut pink card stock and white sheet foam. The frame was stacked and adhered to a pink, top-folding card base.

  • The centre die cut from the frame was embossed with Hydrangea Blooms Embossing Folder and recessed in the centre of the frame.

  • The shadow die for the sentiment was also cut from pink card stock and white sheet foam, stacked and adhered to the card centre. The script sentiment was cut from gold mirror card stock and adhered to the coordinating shadow die cut.

  • Flowers, using Four Petal Thank You die set, were cut from ivory card stock to highlight the sentiment. All of the flower centres, including those on the frame, were finished off with Aura Opalescent Sequins topped up with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

5" BY 7" VELLUM SHAKER

  • The outline die for the frame was used to die cut a 5" by 7" panel of pink card stock.

  • Vellum was adhered to the back of the die cut opening.

  • The floral frame was cut from ivory card stock and dotted lightly with liquid adhesive. It was adhered to the vellum on front of the panel.

  • An oversized piece of white sheet foam was cut with the outline die for the frame. The die cut opening was aligned to the card front and adhered. Large shears were used to trim the excess foam around the perimeter of the card front.

  • To ensure the back panel was aligned to the card front, a Misti stamping platform was used. The foam insert was removed and the card front placed face down with one of the corners pushed into a corner of the Misti. Clear crystals were placed in the vellum window. Liquid adhesive was applied to the pink frame sitting in the Misti. The corner of the pink back panel was positioned in the corner of the Misti and then laid flat on the card front for a perfectly aligned shaker.

  • The independent shaker was adhered to a side folding, 5" by 7" card base.

  • The sentiment words were cut from gold mirror and adhered to the card.

  • Flowers, using Four Petal Thank You die set, were cut from gold card stock to highlight the sentiment.

  • Leaves were foiled in Aura Hot Foil from the April Glimmer of the Month, Glimmer Leaf Panel. Check this out ... gorgeous! The leaves were cut with the coordinating die and tucked underneath the flower petals.

  • All of the flower centres, including those on the frame, and a few accents were completed with Aura Opalescent Sequins topped up with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
