Spellbinder's Woodland Scene is a part of Simon's Snow Globe Collection. Of course, it coordinates beautifully with the snow globe but this gorgeous die set stands well on its own! I love the peacefulness that envelopes me during an evening walk in the woods and enjoyed creating this serene scene.

  • A panel of Bristol Smooth Card stock was die cut with a die from the Essential Stylish Ovals and ink blended with Distress Oxide inks Shaded Lilac, Peacock Feathers and Black Soot.

  • Two pieces of white card stock were cut with the landscape profile included in the Woodland Scene. Because the length of the die was created to fit within the snow globe, I had to use two pieces and modified one of them. They were temporarily taped together and cut with the oval die used on the background. One snowy profile was adhered directly to the background and the second one was adhered with foam squares.

  • The birch trees were cut from white card stock and lightly inked on right hand side with Faded Jeans.

  • The rest of the elements were cut from black card stock.

  • The evergreen and deer silhouettes were adhered directly to the background.

  • The birch trees were adhered with thin foam strips. The bunny silhouette was mounted on the base of one of the birch trees.

  • The panel was spattered using a fan brush and Dr. PH Martin's Bleedproof White.

  • Nuvo Stone Drops, Chalk White was used to add snowy texture at the base of the trees and in the branch crooks on the birch trees.

  • The sentiment and banner dies included in the Woodland Scene die set were used together to cut gold foil card stock. The banner die alone was used to cut black card stock.

  • The oval scene and banner sentiment were adhered to an A2 sized, black card base.
