There’s something especially sweet about baby cards, and the Classic Pooh Baby Collection from Spellbinders captures that softness perfectly. For today’s projects, I created two A2 cards using the Bundle of Joy and Hello Baby stamp and die sets, paired with paper-pieced striped backgrounds for a playful yet gentle foundation. Soft colour palettes and simple layering keep these cards cheerful, timeless, and full of heart.

Card Details
Both cards begin with paper-pieced striped backgrounds. Colorwheel Cardstock was cut into ¼-inch strips and adhered to an A2 panel covered with wide double-sided tape.
For the blue card, I alternated Indigo, Cream, and Breeze.
For the pink card, I used Blush, Cream, and Tutu.
Once the panels were complete, the striped backgrounds were die cut.
The blue card was cut using the Bow and Bell Scallop Frame die set.
The pink card was cut with the Scallop and Stitched Edge Ovals die set.
Coordinating stitched dies from each set were used to create layered focal panels—one in blue and one in pink. These were popped up with foam and centred on the scalloped striped panels before being adhered to A2 cream-coloured card bases.

The sentiments for each card were stamped directly onto the layered panels.
Images from Hello Baby were used on the blue card.
Images from Bundle of Joy were featured on the pink card.
All images were stamped on white cardstock, Copic coloured, cut with the coordinating dies, and adhered with foam squares for dimension.
To finish the pink card, the bow included in the Scallop and Stitched Edge Ovals die set was cut from vellum and topped with a sequin and Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew for a soft, elegant accent.

Closing Thoughts
Paper-pieced striped backgrounds are such a fun way to add colour and texture while still keeping the design clean and classic. Paired with the sweet illustrations from the Classic Pooh Baby Collection, these cards feel perfect for celebrating new beginnings. Whether welcoming a baby boy or girl, these designs are easy to customise and sure to become keepsakes for years to come.
