There’s something so cheerful about coneflowers in full bloom, and the new Cascading Coneflowers Collection by Simon Hurley captures that summer charm perfectly. This sweet collection includes the WIld Coneflowers die set, Cascading Dots 3D Embossing Folder, and the Big & Bold Sentiments die set. Combined with the Scallop and Stitched Edge Ovals, these products create a soft and elegant card that feels fresh, bright, and full of summertime beauty.

Card Details

To create the focal frame for the bouquet, I used the Scallop and Stitched Edge Ovals die set. The scalloped frame and stitched oval were die cut from Colorwheel Cardstock in Chiffon, while the oval layering piece was cut from white cardstock. The Chiffon oval was embossed using the Cascading Dots 3D Embossing Folder, adding beautiful texture and dimension to the background.

The white oval was adhered to the scalloped frame and then mounted onto an A2-sized card base. The embossed Chiffon panel was popped up with foam and layered over top, creating a lovely dimensional focal area for the floral arrangement.

Using the WIld Coneflowers die set, the flower petals were die cut from Mulberry cardstock, while the flower centers were cut from Acorn cardstock. The stems and leaves were cut from a soft green cardstock to complement the vibrant blooms. After assembling the flowers, I arranged them in a crisscross pattern across the lower portion of the oval, creating the look of a hand-tied bouquet.

To finish the arrangement, I added a delicate Chiffon bow using the bow die included in the Scallop and Stitched Edge Ovals set. The bow adds a soft, feminine touch and helps pull the bouquet together beautifully.

The final detail is the elegant script “Hello” sentiment from the Big & Bold Sentiments die set. It was adhered at an angle across the top coneflower bloom, creating a playful yet balanced finishing touch.

Closing Thoughts

I love how the combination of soft Chiffon cardstock, vibrant Mulberry blooms, and textured embossing creates a card that feels both elegant and whimsical. The Cascading Coneflowers Collection is perfect for creating floral cards that are full of dimension and charm, and the addition of the embossed background and layered oval frame helps showcase these beautiful blooms perfectly. Whether you’re creating hello cards, friendship cards, or thinking-of-you cards, this collection makes it easy to build stunning floral arrangements with ease.
