Few collections capture the tenderness of welcoming a new baby quite like the Classic Pooh Baby Collection from Spellbinders. Featuring Kanga & Roo and the sweetest Baby Accessories, this collection is full of gentle charm and storytelling details. Today I’m sharing two baby cards that highlight soft colours, thoughtful layering, and playful scenes—perfect for celebrating those tiniest, most meaningful moments.

Card One – Hello, Baby

The first card begins with a softly patterned background created using the silhouette stamp from the Bundle of Joy. A repeat stamping technique was used with Distress Oxide inks in Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Tattered Rose, and Scattered Straw, building a subtle, dreamy backdrop.

The stamped panel was die cut using a die from the Scallop and Stitched Edge Ovals Dies and layered onto a foam-backed die cut for added dimension before being adhered to an A2-sized card base. The sentiment from the Hello Baby set was stamped directly onto the panel.

Kanga & Roo were die cut from Colorwheel Cardstock in Tuscan and Cream. The adorable accessories —the highchair, rattle, and bottle—from the Baby Accessories Die Set were cut from White, Blush, and Cream cardstock. All elements were assembled and popped up with foam squares to bring the scene to life.

Card Two – Sometimes the Smallest Things

For the second card, a shaped card base was created using the largest die from the Perfect Touch Arches set. White cardstock was folded in half, with the die placed slightly over the fold to create a hinged arch card. This shape was then used to cut both Breeze and Mint cardstock layers.

The Breeze panel was adhered to the card base, while a die from Color Block – Scenic Escape was used to cut the Mint cardstock, creating a soft foreground layer. The sentiment from Bundle of Joy was stamped directly onto the Breeze base.

Floral accents from the Club Blooms Die Set were cut from Blush and Mint cardstock. Kanga & Roo were assembled using the same Tuscan and Cream cardstock as the first card to keep the set cohesive.

The baby buggy from Baby Accessories was created using Blush, White, and Matte Gold cardstock. Texture was added to the white portion of the buggy using pink Nuvo Drops. Kanga and the buggy were popped up with foam squares, while flower centres and additional embellishments were finished with Cream Confetti and Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

Closing Thoughts

These two cards perfectly showcase how versatile and heartwarming the Classic Pooh Baby Collection can be. From softly stamped backgrounds to shaped card bases and dimensional die-cut scenes, each card tells its own gentle story. Whether you prefer subtle ink blending or detailed die-cut layering, this collection makes it easy to create keepsake-worthy baby cards filled with warmth and love.
