All of our beloved friends from The Wizard of Oz come together in this enchanting trio of cards, each one capturing a moment along the yellow brick road winding through a field of poppies.

Each character in the Dorothy & The Witches and Tin Man, Scarecrow & Lion BetterPress Plates and Die Sets was pressed in BetterPress Black Ink onto BetterPress Porcelain A2 Cardstock , then coloured with Copic markers for a vintage storybook look.

Building the Yellow Brick Road
The backgrounds were created using two dies from the Color Block Scenic Scape die set. Two A2-sized panels of Colorwheel Cardstock Beeswax and Pomegranate cardstock were stacked and die-cut together to ensure perfect alignment. The resulting pieces were then pieced together to form the yellow brick road weaving through the poppy field.
The red panels were embossed with the Field of Poppies 3D Emboss & Cut Folder and highlighted with bronze metallic ink to accentuate the floral texture. Three individual poppies were embossed and cut to create anaccent for each card. The yellow panels were embossed using the Brick by Brick 3D Embossing Folder and brushed with Distress Oxide Ink in Fossilized Amber to bring out the mortar lines.
Each completed background was adhered to an A2 card base, creating a bold and dynamic foundation for the characters.
Finishing Touches
The BetterPress characters — Dorothy, the Tin Man, Scarecrow, Lion, Glinda, and the Wicked Witch — were die-cut and popped up with foam squares for depth and movement. Sentiments from the Wizard of Oz BetterPress Sentiments set were pressed, die-cut, and layered on foam for added dimension.
