A Festive Pair with a Touch of Sparkle … Christmas inspiration continues with this month’s Spellbinders Stencil of the Month and Clear Stamp & Die of the Month! This beautiful five-piece stencil set creates a background of overlapping Christmas ornaments, with the final stencil adding intricate decorative details. To make the ornaments truly shine, I used Silver Stickles through the last stencil, giving both cards a gorgeous festive sparkle.

Card Details
I created two versions using different colour palettes with the Stencil of the Month. For the pink card, I blended Distress Oxide Inks in Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, and Picked Raspberry. The second card features a fresh holiday green palette using Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn. After the ink blending was complete, the Silver and Gold Stickles brought all of the ornament details to life. Both finished 4¼” × 5½” panels were adhered to A2 card bases.

Finishing the Cards
To complete the designs, I focused on bold, dimensional sentiments. Since I live in a bilingual country, I thought it would be fun to use the French Holiday Sentiments Die Set for the main greetings.
The shadow layer was cut from a beautiful specialty glitter cardstock that combines both gold and silver tones, making it the perfect complement to either colour palette. The same shadow die was also used to cut black foam, allowing me to stack the layers for plenty of dimension. The script sentiment itself was cut from black cardstock and adhered over the glitter shadow.
The secondary greetings come from the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month. They were stamped onto Fern and Blush Colorwheel Cardstock , die cut with the coordinating die, and also popped up on black foam. The larger French sentiment was centred on each card, while the smaller stamped greeting was tucked underneath on the lower right to complete the design.

Final Thoughts
These cards came together quickly thanks to the layered stencil design, yet the addition of Silver Stickles gives them a beautifully elegant finish. I love how simply changing the ink colours creates two completely different holiday looks, while the French sentiments add a unique touch. This stencil set is a wonderful way to create festive backgrounds that are both eye-catching and easy to personalize for your holiday card making.
