This Botanical Bunny from Spellbinders Stencil of the Month is such a breath of fresh air for early Spring crafting. I love how the soft foliage and florals come together to form a sweet bunny silhouette—light, airy, and full of gentle movement. It feels whimsical without being fussy, and it’s one of those designs that instantly makes you smile the moment the ink hits the paper.

Card Details

The five-piece Stencil of the Month was inked using Distress Oxide Inks in Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Tattered Rose, and Worn Lipstick. These colours blend beautifully to create soft depth while keeping the overall look fresh and springy.

Once complete, the panel was trimmed to 4” × 5¼” and adhered to a black A2 card base, which really helps the pastel tones pop.

Details

To add a little extra charm, I finished the bunny with a delicate pink bow die cut from the Scallop and Stitched Edge Ovals — such a sweet touch that gives the design a focal point without overpowering it.

For sparkle and texture, I scattered pink opalescent sequins and topped them with Nuvo Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew, adding just the right amount of shine.

The sentiment comes from the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month. I used the coordinating die to cut both the stamped sentiment and a foam layer, stacking them together for subtle dimension.

Closing Thoughts

This Botanical Bunny stencil set is perfect for Spring cards, Easter greetings, or any occasion that calls for something soft and cheerful. It’s a wonderful example of how stencils can create detailed imagery while still feeling effortless and relaxed. Definitely a set I’ll be reaching for again as Spring crafting season blooms 🌸🐇.
