Card Details
A panel of Colorwheel Cardstock in Chiffon was trimmed to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” and adhered to an A2 sized card base. Another panel of Chiffon cardstock was hot foiled with the Press & Foil of the Month using gold foil, creating a whimsical hot air balloon background. While hot air balloons may not be the most practical way to travel, they pair beautifully with the playful suitcase theme. The foiled panel and white sheet foam were die cut using the second largest die from the Playful Stitched Panels die set, then mounted and centred onto the card front.
The Small Die of the Month comes together easily, beginning with the adorable suitcase. The outer pieces were die cut from brushed gold cardstock, while the inside of the suitcase was cut from Blush cardstock. Details were added with a Blush handle and castor wheels die cut from Chiffon and Anchor cardstock. The netting for the top of the suitcase was cut from brushed gold cardstock and filled with tiny travel accessories die cut from Carrot, Cascade, Blush, Anchor, and Ivory cardstock.

The sweet little dog was created from a combination of Truffle and Ivory cardstock with Blush cheeks, while the cat was die cut from Anchor cardstock with Blush cheeks and nose. Perched on top of the open suitcase, the kitty is holding a charming carousel cut from brushed gold cardstock found in this month’s Large Die of the Month.
The sentiment, from the Press & Foil of the Month, was pressed with black ink onto Chiffon cardstock. The sentiment and white sheet foam were die cut using the coordinating die, stacked together, and adhered to the carousel. Finally, the suitcase, critters, and carousel were popped up with foam squares for added depth and dimension.

Closing Thoughts
This card is such a fun combination of elegance and playfulness. The brushed gold details paired with the soft Chiffon background create a polished look, while the adorable critters bring warmth and personality to the design. I especially love how the hot air balloon background enhances the travel theme in such a whimsical way. This would make a wonderful encouragement card for someone about to begin a new journey or adventure.
