Hello everyone! I have another card pairing Spellbinders’ Small Die of the Month, Outlined Sentiments, with the Large Die of the Month, Strawberry Patch. Both die sets are gorgeous! Who doesn't love strawberries for a sweet summertime card?! And I love sentiment sets and Outlined Sentiments has such a beautiful and delicate script, it is sure to become a favourite!
The strawberries were put together with two die cuts. I used a deep red for the base and adhered a lighter tone on top. The small leaves and strawberry stems were cut from teal topaz card stock. The leaves were adhered to the top of the strawberry to form the crown. The stems were only adhered to three strawberries. Two shades were chosen for the layered leaves. The basket was cut from teal glitter card stock and thin foam strips were applied along the sides and bottom.
A panel of teal topaz card stock was trimmed to 4 by 5 1/4” and mounted on a cosmic sky blue matted, A2 sized card base. Five strawberries were ‘mounded’ at the bottom the card front making sure the basket would fit around the lower section of them. The layered leaves were adhered to the top corner of the card and one strawberry was tucked in amongst them. The strawberries were were coated with Nuvo Crystal Glaze and left to dry completely.
When the glaze was dry, the foam mounted basket was positioned over the strawberries. All of the the scripty sentiments from Outlined Sentiments have shadow dies. Thanks was cut from teal topaz card stock. The script is very fine. I adhered the card stock to double-sided adhesive paper before die cutting it. The shadow die was used to cut white foam, white card stock and the same glitter paper used for the basket. The adhesive backed scripty ‘thanks’ was adhered to the glitter die cut and offset on the foam stacked with the white card stock. The card was embellished with Teal Opalescent Sequins finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
