Spellbinders’ Small Die of the Month

Hello everyone! Spellbinder’s Small Die of the Month, Stitched Fall Leaves , is absolutely beautiful! This die set is made up of six leaves; a stitching die and outline die for each. For this fall themed card, I used only the dies with the stitching guidelines. I am not a stitcher, but like most of Spellbinders' stitching dyes, the projects are small making them fun and easy to do whether you are experienced or not.

  • Royal Amethyst cardstock was trim down to card front size, 4“ x 4 x 5 1/4“.

  • The dies with the stitching guidelines were arranged on the panel and held in place with low tack tape to prevent shifting as they were run through the die cutter.

  • The leaves will be fully die cut from the background and removed. The panel was spattered with Tarnished Brass Distress Stain.

  • The card front was adhered to a black card stock, top folding, A2 sized card base matted with gold glitter paper.

  • The leaves were stitched with a gorgeous variegated, metallic embroidery floss and mounted on black foam die cuts cut with the leaf dies with the stitching guidelines.

  • This sentiment that accompanies this set has both a script die and a shadow die. The shadow die was used to cut gold glitter card stock and the script was cut from the Amethyst card stock.

  • The card was finished off with Purple Opalescent Sequins topped with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

A fun and easy card to stitch!
