There is something so cheerful about the Spellbinders Shiny New Day Collection! From adorable cleaning tools to bubbly backgrounds and encouraging sentiments, this collection turns everyday chores into the sweetest handmade cards. The soft pastel palette paired with pops of bright Wildberry creates such a fresh and happy look, and those tiny cleaning accessories are almost too cute to use!

CARD DETAILS
I began by assembling all of the elements from the Squeaky Clean Die Set using Colorwheel Cardstock in Chiffon, Windy, and Wildberry. This set includes everything needed for a squeaky-clean scene — mops, pails, scrub brushes, spray bottles, and rubber gloves. Every piece layers beautifully and creates the most charming dimensional details.
The collection also includes the Suds & Buds 3D Embossing Folder, which is such a clever design because it features two different patterns in one folder, both perfectly sized for A2 cards.
For the blue card, I started by die cutting three circles from an A2-sized panel of Windy cardstock using the Ripped Edge Circles die set. The panel was then embossed using the bubbly side of the embossing folder, creating a fabulous sudsy background. To add the sentiment, I temporarily layered the embossed panel over another piece of Windy cardstock and stamped the greeting from the Shiny New Day Sentiments stamp set into the smallest circle opening. The embossed panel was then popped up with foam tape and adhered to an A2-sized card base.
The cleaning elements were arranged inside the two larger circles, while the mop was placed diagonally across the card front for extra movement and interest. The layered die cuts and soft textures make this card feel playful and full of dimension.
For the second card, an A2 panel of Chiffon cardstock was embossed using the adorable floral pattern side of the 3-D embossing folder. I lightly rubbed Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass across the raised areas to highlight the design, then softened the look by gently going back over it with white pigment ink. This created a beautiful soft pastel finish with lots of subtle detail.
The embossed panel was adhered to an A2 card base, and all of the cleaning elements were popped up with foam squares for dimension. A sweet tag from the Linear Touch Rectangles & Tag die set was added to the mop handle and tied with a small twine bow. The tag was stamped using two sentiments from the Shiny New Day Sentiments stamp set for an encouraging finishing touch.

These cards were such a joy to create! Shiny New Day Collection combines whimsical images with soft textures and uplifting sentiments, making it perfect for encouragement cards, friendship cards, or simply sending a little happy mail. The coordinating embossing folder adds incredible detail, and the cleaning-themed die cuts are guaranteed to bring a smile. Sometimes the cutest inspiration really does come from everyday life!
