The Sending Hugs Collection by Simon Hurley is pure feel-good cardmaking—sweet characters, soft colours, and easy layering that comes together quickly but still feels special. Today I’m sharing two A2 cards featuring the Darling Dog and Birthday Bear die sets, paired with the Puffy Hearts 3D Embossing Folder for added texture and charm. These cards are perfect for happy mail, birthdays, or just-because moments.

Card Details
Both cards are standard A2 size with clean white card bases. The backgrounds were created using two dies from the Perfect Touch Arches die set, cut from Colorwheel Cardstock.
For the Darling Dog card, a Tuscan arch was layered onto Blush cardstock.
For the Birthday Bear card, a Kraft arch was layered onto Breeze cardstock.
In each design, the smaller arch was embossed using the Puffy Hearts 3D Embossing Folder, adding soft dimension and a playful backdrop for the characters.
The die-cut images were simple and fun to assemble.
Darling Dog was created using a mix of Blush, Tuscan, and Beeswax.
Birthday Bear was assembled from Cream, Seaside, Breeze, and Blush.
Once assembled, each character was attached directly to its coordinating banner sentiment. The completed pieces were then mounted onto the embossed heart panels using foam squares for extra lift and dimension, keeping the focus firmly on the sweet focal images.
