The Spellbinders Spectacular Christmas Collection is filled with adorable characters that are sure to make you smile! My first project features the sweet Spectacular Bear, but what makes this collection especially fun is how easily the sets work together. The bear body becomes the foundation for creating the Spectacular Penguin and Spectacular Deer by simply changing the accessories and hats. For this card, I paired the charming bear with the July Press & Foil of the Month, adding a beautifully foiled background for plenty of festive sparkle.

Card Details
I began by foiling an A2 panel of Colorwheel Cardstock , Fern, using the July Press & Foil of the Month with silver foil, creating a background full of elegant Christmas greetings and shine. The finished panel was adhered to an A2 card base.
Next, I created an adorable polar bear using the Spectacular Bear die set. The body and layered pieces were die cut primarily from white cardstock, with Blush cardstock adding soft colour to the ears and rosy cheeks.
To give him a cozy winter look, I dressed him in a toque and scarf die cut from Fern and Rainforest cardstock. His festive glasses were cut from Aquamarine Glitter cardstock and decorated with the included Christmas tree embellishments cut from Fern and Rainforest, with tiny glitter stars completing the whimsical design. I love the extra decorative pieces included for the glasses—they add so much personality!
The bear is holding a delicious Christmas cupcake. The wrapper was die cut from Acorn cardstock, while Blush and Chiffon cardstock created the swirled icing. A sprig of holly cut from Fern and Cranberry cardstock finishes the cupcake perfectly.
The sentiment is from the July Clear Stamp & Die of the Month. It was stamped with black ink onto Fern cardstock, die cut with the coordinating die, and stacked with a layer of black craft foam for added dimension. The sentiment was adhered near the bottom centre of the card, and the polar bear was popped up with foam tape just above it to create a fun focal point.

The interchangeable pieces make it easy to create a variety of festive characters while maintaining a cohesive look across your holiday cards. Paired with the elegant foiled background from the July Press & Foil of the Month, this cheerful polar bear is ready to spread Christmas smiles all season long!
