Hello friends! Get ready for a fabulous new release, North Pole Friends, by Simon Hurley with Spellbinders! As always, Simon’s images are just the sweetest. I love the whimsical designs of Polar Bear Pals and North Pole Sentiments. Both of these designs are adorable and I couldn’t resist using them in conjunction with a couple of his older sets, Simon’s Snow Globe and Playful Penguins.

A soft, pretty ink blended background was created with Distress Oxide Inks Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Dried Marigold. This panel was adhered to an A2 card base. The pole from North Pole Sentiments was cut from white and Tutu Colorwheel Cardstock. It was adhered to the card front. The snowy foreground was cut using a die from Landscape Edges and mounted on the bottom of the ink blended panel with foam tape. The signs and snowman from North Pole Sentiments were cut from Mint, Blush and white cardstock. Blush, Tutu, black and white were used for the penguins from Playful Penguins. The elements were popped up with foam. The card was completed with spatter using.Splatter White applied with a fan brush.

The backgrounds for the next two cards were embossed with Flurry of Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder. The panels were adhered to A2 card bases. The cute accessories for the polar bears were cut from Mint and Blush Colorwheel Cardstock. The polar bears for one card were displayed, popped up with foam, on Simon’s Snow Globe. The grey backdrop was also embossed and the high areas rubbed with white pigment ink. Dots of liquid adhesive sprinkled wth chunky glitter were added to the sky in the snow globe.

The polar bear for the final card was centred on the panel with the banner sentiment from North Pole Sentiments below it. Both the bear and the sentiment were popped up with foam. Liquid adhesive was added to the round, embossed snowflakes, and they were covered with chunky glitter for some added sparkle.
