Made With Love
This card features Made With Love, a beautiful and heartwarming die set from the collection. I began by embossing Blush Colorwheel Cardstock with the Confection Companions 3 D Embossing Folder, also included in the collection. The panel was trimmed down and adhered to an A2-sized card base.
The sweet apron from Made With Love was assembled using a combination of Blush, Mint, and Cream cardstock, then popped up and angled on the background for added dimension. This set also includes adorable cookies and muffins, which were die cut from Fawn cardstock and detailed with Blush, Cream, and Mint accents before being popped up with foam squares.
The sentiment, included in the set, was cut from Cream cardstock and adhered to a Fawn shadow layer, then mounted on foam for extra depth. To finish the card, I added a sprinkling of new Buttermilk Nuvo Crystal Drops, giving the design a soft, polished touch that perfectly compliments the cozy, homemade feel.
Magic Mixer
Featuring Magic Mixer, this card has a nostalgic feel created with patterned paper from the Breakfast In Bed 6 X 6 Designer Paper Pad, which was die cut using a die from the Bow and Bell Scallop Frame die set. This panel was adhered to an A2-size card base, with a white panel, also cut from the same set, layered over the patterned paper.
A simple colour palette from Colorwheel Cardstock was used to die cut the mixer, bowl, and stand—Teal Topaz, Blue, Spruce, and Anchor, with White and matte silver accents. Both the mixer and bowl were popped up with foam squares for added dimension, and Simply White Nuvo Crystal Drops were added to create the drips coming off the mixer attachments, enhancing the fun, freshly-mixed look. The card was finished with a sweet stamped sentiment, “You Stir Are Fabulous,” from the Sugared Expressions stamp set included in this collection.
Fluff, Frost & Roll
If you love cake or cookie decorating, Fluff, Frost & Rolll is a fantastic die set for you—and for anyone who aspires to be a decorator too! For this card, the Confection Companions 3 D Embossing Folder was used to emboss ColourWheel cardstock in Fawn. Because this card is all about frosting, white pigment ink was lightly rubbed over the surface to catch the raised areas of the embossing and really highlight the texture. The panel was then adhered to an A2-size card base.
All of the fun elements from Fluff, Frost & Roll were die cut from Fawn, Mint, Blush, and White cardstock, with the whisk and piping bag details cut from matte silver cardstock. This set includes a die-cut sentiment that is perfect for connecting directly to the tip of the piping bag—a big hello. A secondary sentiment from the Sugared Expressions stamp set was stamped onto the rolling pin. All of the elements were popped up with foam squares to add playful dimension and bring this sweet, bakery-inspired scene to life.
Cool It Cookie Rack
This card features the Cool It Cookie Rack die set, and—like the previous card—the background was created using the Confection Companions 3 D Embossing Folder on Blush ColourWheel cardstock. The embossed panel was trimmed and adhered to an A2-size card base.
The die-cut elements were cut from Fawn, Blush, Mint, White, and matte silver cardstock, then adhered to the card front. For subtle dimension, only the inner rectangular die cut of the cooling rack was popped up with foam. The sentiment, included in this die set, was cut from white cardstock and mounted onto a Fawn shadow die cut, finishing the card with a clean, cohesive look.
Measure Mates
The final card features the Measure Mates die set—everything you need to bake the perfect creation. I couldn’t resist including that adorable bib apron from Made With Love cut from patterned paper from from the Breakfast in Bed 6” × 6” Designer Paper Pad, which adds such a charming focal point to the design. The background for this card was cut from Mint cardstock using the scalloped die from the Bow and Bell Scallop Frame die set.
The various measuring tools were die cut from Mint, Breeze, Anchor, and matte silver cardstock, while the little cookies were created using Fawn and Bellini cardstock. Both the scale and the measuring pitcher were popped up with foam squares in one corner, with the measuring cups tucked in behind for added depth.
The apron, cut from white cardstock and paired with pretty vintage patterned paper from the Breakfast In Bed 6 X 6 Designer Paper Pad, was popped up with foam squares. The small pocket on the front of the apron was the perfect size to stamp a sentiment from the Sugared Expressions stamp set. The measuring spoons were tucked into the pocket, and the cookies were adhered to the right-hand corner of the apron. This card was finished with Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops.
