Creating with soft florals and rich textures is always a joy, and today I’m sharing two cards featuring products from the Poppy Song Collection along with sentiments from the Essentially Yours Sentiments Collection. Both designs highlight the same core elements but take on completely different moods—one light and airy, the other bold and grounded.

SUPPLIES
Colorwheel Cardstock - Blush, Chiffon, Anchor, Malibu, Windy, Truffle Acorn

Card One
For the first card, I began with a panel of Blush cardstock, embossing it with the Favourite Song 3D Embossing Folder to create a delicate, musical texture. This panel was adhered to an A2-sized card base.
To build the focal point, I used one of the smaller dies from the Playful Stitched Panels set to cut anchor cardstock, along with a matching piece from black sheet foam for dimension. These were stacked and centred on the embossed background.
The floral arrangement was created using the Leaf & Bloom die set. The stems were cut from Fog cardstock, flower centres from Anchor, and the blooms themselves from Chiffon and Blush cardstock. The stems were adhered directly to the panel, while the flowers were popped up with foam squares for added dimension.
For the sentiment, I used one of the smaller Playful Stitched Panel dies from Fog and foam cardstock to create a tag, then wrapped it with silver embroidery thread for a soft, elegant touch. The “Hello Friend” sentiment from the Layered Hello Friend set was cut from Blush cardstock and white sheet foam, stacked, and adhered to the tag. The tag was then placed at an angle over the stems using foam squares.
To finish the card, I added iridescent confetti along with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew for a subtle sparkle.

Card Two
The second card takes on a richer, more dramatic feel. I started with an A2 card base covered in a panel of Malibu cardstock.
For the focal panel, I cut truffle cardstock using another die from the Playful Stitched Panels set and embossed it with the Favourite Song 3D Embossing Folder. As with the first card, I added dimension by layering it over black sheet foam before centring it on the card base.
The leafy element from the Leaf & Bloom die set was cut three times—twice from a light Windy cardstock and once from Acorn cardstock. These were layered and arranged in the lower left corner of the panel, slightly overlapping to create depth and movement.
The sentiment again comes from the Layered Hello Friend set. The shadow layer was cut from Malibu cardstock, while the script was cut from Truffle cardstock and black sheet foam. These layers were stacked and adhered to the shadow, then placed on the card front.
To complete the design, I added iridescent confetti and Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew, tying it back to the first card while maintaining its own unique style.
Closing Thoughts
I love how these two cards show the versatility of the same supplies—simply changing the colour palette and arrangement can completely transform the look and feel. Whether you’re drawn to soft pastels or deeper, earthy tones, these products make it easy to create something beautiful and cohesive.
