Card Details
I began with a panel of Colorwheel Cardstock in Tuscan and embossed it using the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. To highlight the raised sun images in the design, I rubbed Distress Oxide Ink in Squeezed Lemonade over the embossed areas. This simple technique really enhances the texture and gives the background a warm glowing effect that perfectly suits the summery theme.
Now onto the adorable Large Die of the Month! There are two dies that create the pop can. The base die was cut from matte silver foil cardstock as well as white sheet foam for added dimension. The second layering die was cut from Blush cardstock and adhered over top of the base.
The straw was cut from both white and Blush cardstock, while the leaves were cut from Rainforest cardstock. The lemon slice was created using Beeswax and ivory cardstock. These elements were adhered behind the top of the can before the dimensional foam layer was added to the pop can.

The cocktail umbrella was cut from pearlized gold foil cardstock and ivory cardstock, then adhered behind the lemon slice. All of the elements extending from the top of the pop can were attached using foam squares and liquid adhesive was applied to the foam backed pop can.
The adorable parrot was cut from a combination of Beeswax, Rainforest, and Wildberry cardstock. Although there are several die-cut pieces, assembly is very easy thanks to the etched guide lines included on each layer. Foam squares were used to perch the parrot on top of the straw, adding even more playful dimension to the design.
The sentiment is from the Press & Foil of the Month and was BetterPressed using black ink on Chiffon cardstock. It was cut with the coordinating die, layered onto a foam die cut, and adhered across the front of the pop can.

Closing Thoughts
This card is pure summer happiness! Between the bold tropical colours, layered textures, and whimsical details, it’s the kind of design that instantly makes you smile. The combination of the sunny embossed background and the dimensional die cuts creates so much interest while still keeping the card bright and fun. Perfect for sending encouragement, happy thoughts, or simply a little sunshine to someone special!
