Spellbinders’ La Dolce Vita is a large collection celebrating the beautiful scenery of the Italian Coast! I have never been to Italy but it is definitely at the top of my list for ‘must go to’ places. Until then, creating with these sets has a Mediterranean retreat vibe to dream about! These cards feature Under The Sun, Amalfi Breeze and Citrus Spritz etched die sets.

The coloured cardstock is from the Colorwheel Cardstock Collection. I worked with Seaside, Beeswax, Tuscan, Fawn and Blush. The green and soft yellow were from their older collection. The cards have been put together on A2 card bases. The sentiments are from the La Dolce Vita Banners and have been popped up with foam.

This card features Under The Sun. The background was embossed with Mandala Bloom 3D Embossing Folder and finished of with the easily assembled sun. A quick and easy card!

The background for this card is embossed with a mixture of three embossing powders; white, gold and puffy white. A panel of Fawn cardstock was rubbed with a pad of Versamark. The embossing powder mixture was sprinkled on and melted. Although I did not try to get complete coverage, this textured background was built up with several applications. The sweet woman on a beach blanket is from the Amalfi Breeze die set. A panel of patterned paper from the Hello It’s Me 6X6 Designer Paper Pad was cut to the same width as the blanket trim die cuts; 2 1/2”. The length of the blanket was cut to 4 1/4 inches and the trim adhered to either end of it. The blanket was mounted to the embossed background at a slight angle. The bathing suit was also cut from patterned paper from the same paper pack. The woman and the summer drink were assembled and mounted to the beach blanket with foam squares.

For this card, the card base was covered with soft blue card stock. Two sizes of arches from the.Perfect Arches die set were cut from white and gold foil cardstock. The arches were layered and adhered to the card front. Several lemons, flowers and foliage were cut using the Citrus Spritz die set. One side of the arch was framed using the vines included in .Beyond the Door. The flowers and foliage were layered on along with the lemons that had been inked with Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade.
