Card Details
Design & Colour Palette
These two A2 landscape cards showcase the same layout with different colour stories:
Purple Palette Card: Created using Colorwheel Violet and Lavender cardstock, paired with white accents for a fresh, whimsical feel.
Red & Pink Palette Card: Features Cranberry and Blush cardstock, elevated with gold glitter cardstock for a touch of sparkle and classic romance.
Card Bases & Focal Panels
The card bases were cut from white cardstock for the red/pink design and violet cardstock for the purple design. To create strong focal points, a die from the Scalloped and Stitched Edge Ovals set was used to cut:
White heart cardstock for the purple card
Gold glitter cardstock for the red/pink card
Each oval was then embossed using the Puffy Hearts 3D Embossing Folder, adding soft dimension and texture before being adhered to the card bases.
Characters & Accessories
Mickey and Minnie were created using the Steamboat Willie Duo, a previously released die set, which forms the foundation for both characters. The playful, love-themed accessories—hearts, flowers, and keys—come from the CLASSIC MOUSE LOVE add-on set, bringing extra personality and storytelling to each scene. The assembled characters were adhered with foam squares for layered dimension and visual interest.
Sentiments
The sentiments were letterpressed using the CLASSIC MOUSE HAPPY and CLASSIC MOUSE LOVE Press/Foil Plates, then die cut with their coordinating dies. Each sentiment was popped up using foam die cuts to echo the dimension of the characters and keep the designs cohesive.
