Spring projects are my absolute favourite, and this felt decor die set is giving all the sweet Easter vibes. Spellbinders 3D Eggs & Flowers by Sandi MacIver lets you create two different sizes of dimensional felt eggs that are perfect for decorating, gifting, or filling with little seasonal surprises. The soft felt, charming florals, and stitched details make these eggs feel both playful and heirloom-worthy. This set also pairs beautifully with another felt decor favorite—Fergus—if you’re looking to build out a coordinated spring display.

Making Details
One of my favourite features of this 3D Eggs & Flowers project is that each egg includes working pockets—one on each quadrant—perfect for tucking in small Easter treats.
For the purple egg, I die cut the larger egg quadrant four times from purple felt and four times from lilac felt. The lilac pieces were trimmed so that when stitched on top of the purple sections, they naturally formed pockets.
For the pink egg, the larger egg die was used to cut the pink felt, while the peach felt was cut using the smaller egg die. I then used a scalloped edge die to trim these pieces down, adding a decorative edge before stitching.
To assemble each egg, I started with the square base die cut included in the set. I stitched all four egg quadrants to the sides of this square, layering the pocket pieces on top so everything was stitched at the same time. Once the quadrants were attached, I stitched up the sides using a simple running stitch throughout the entire project.
Before closing the egg completely, I left a small opening to add polyfill, giving the eggs a soft, plush shape. Once stuffed, I closed the opening and moved on to decorating.
Each pocket was embellished with felt flowers, and to finish things off, I added a final flower right on top of each egg for a sweet, whimsical look.

Final Thoughts
These felt eggs are such a joyful project—straightforward to stitch, endlessly customizable, and absolutely perfect for Spring decorating. I love that they’re both decorative and functional, with pockets that make them extra special for Easter gifting. Whether you create one or a whole basketful, this die set is a total springtime win and a must-have if you enjoy felt projects with charming dimension and detail.
