Pretty in Pink Christmas Wishes with Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, July, 2026

Soft, sweet, and full of festive charm, this month’s Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Festive Greetings, creates the perfect backdrop for holiday cards. The elegant script features a wonderful mix of Christmas sentiments that add beautiful texture and interest while allowing a focal image to shine. Card Details

I began by embossing an A2-sized panel of Spellbinders ColourWheel Blush Cardstock with the Festive Greetings 3D Embossing Folder. The deep embossing creates incredible dimension, and using a single colour for both the cardstock and embossing allows all of that gorgeous detail to take centre stage. The embossed panel was then adhered to an A2 card base.

The sweet penguin from the Small Die of the Month was assembled using classic black and white cardstock. His winter accessories were die cut from Blush Colorwheel Cardstock and pink glitter cardstock, giving his hat and scarf a little festive sparkle. For an extra touch of warmth, I added rosy cheeks using Chiffon Colorwheel Cardstock.

The sentiment is one of my favourite elements of this card. The die creates a fun negative-space design, so I cut the banner from pink glitter cardstock and layered the black outline over top to make the letters really stand out.

Both the penguin and the sentiment were adhered with foam squares to add dimension. I angled the sentiment so it resembles a snowy ski hill, then positioned the penguin’s skis right on top of it, making it look as though he’s happily gliding down the slope. It’s such a simple detail, but it adds so much personality and movement to the design.

Final Thoughts

This card is proof that an embossed background doesn’t need additional embellishments to make a statement. The Festive Greetings 3D Embossing Folder provides all the texture and elegance you need, while the charming penguin adds a playful focal point that’s impossible not to smile at. Soft pinks, a touch of glitter, and a clever sentiment placement come together to create a delightful Christmas card that’s both elegant and fun.
