Spellbinder’s Stencil of the Month for March

Hello friends! Spellbinder's Stencil of the Month Club, Dynamic Backgrounds, is a a set of three, fun designs! Two designs are layering stencils and the third a 'stand-alone'. So dig out your favourite colour combos and get ready to make these quick and easy backgrounds!


The March "New Subscriber" registration window will be available March 6 - 27th while supplies last. 

  • All of the stencilling for the three cards was done with Pawsitively Saturated Inks.

  • Two stencils were used to create the background for the card above. Using blender brushes, Bubblegum was applied to one stencil and Sweets to the other.

  • The panel was trimmed to 4" by 5 1/4" and a circle die was used to cut it and sheet foam.

  • A panel sized 4" by 5 1/4" was embossed with Classic Backdrop, 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. The foam backed panel was adhered to this embossed panel and then mounted on an A2 sized card base.

  • The books were created using dies from Classic Tales , Large Die Of the Month.

  • The card was finished off with a hot foil sentiment from the Glimmer of the Month, Sketched Lines. The sentiment and the books were popped up with foam tape.

  • The background for this card was don with the 'stand-alone' stencil using Petunia, Pansy and Aster inks.

  • The panel was trimmed to 4" by 5 1/4" and adhered to an A2 sized black card base.

  • The books were created using dies from Classic Tales , Large Die Of the Month.

  • The hot foil sentiments is from the Glimmer of the Month, Sketched Lines, and was done in silver on plum card stock. The sentiment and the books were popped up with foam tape.

  • The card was finished off with matte silver pearls.

  • The background for the final card was completed with a two stencil design inked with Cherry and Guava.

  • It was trimmed to trimmed to 4" by 5 1/4" and adhered to an A2 sized card base.

  • The books were created using dies from Classic Tales , Large Die Of the Month.

  • The hot foil sentiment is from the Glimmer of the Month, Sketched Lines, and was done in aura on white card stock. The sentiment and the books were popped up with foam tape.

  • The card was finished off with matte gold pearls.
