Spellbinder’s Peony Celebration from Yana’s Let’s Celebrate Collection

Hello friends! The Let's Celebrate Collection over at Spellbinder's is a must to check out! So many gorgeous products including this beautifully detailed die set, Peony Celebration. These cards have been paper pieced and I have a couple of tips for adding a touch of colour to all those petals and inlaying the die cuts ... quick and easy, of course!

  • Peony Celebration Dies consists of two dies; the floral detail and an outline die. The detail die was used to cut gold foil and gold glitter card stock.

  • The outline die was used to cut pink and pinkish beige card stock. The gold detail die cuts were adhered to them.

  • A panel of pink and pinkish beige card stock were adhered to Adhesive Sheets and cut with the detail die. The backing paper adds thickness to the card stock. When run through the die cutter, the card stock but not the backing paper will be cut leaving the die cuts of the petals in place.

  • A touch of colour was added to the base of the petals with a detail blending brush. On the pinkish beige card stock, Distress Oxide Spun Sugar was added. Worn Lipstick was applied to the pink card stock die cuts.

  • The petals with the adhesive already in place were inlaid in the gold die cuts. Each of the two colours of flowers were paper pieced on both panels.

  • The detail die was used to cut white foam. The florals were adhered to them.

  • Two consecutive dies from Mirrored Arch Labels were used to cut pink, pinkish beige, gold foil and gold glitter card stock. The die cuts were layered and adhered to A2 sized card bases covered in dark grey card stock. The 1-2 Punch; Corner Rounder & Notch Punch was used to round two of the four corners.

  • The sentiments from Let's Celebrate Sentiments Press Plate and Die set were pressed with Versamark, gold embossed and cut with the coordinating dies. The sentiments were adhered to the bottom right hand corner of the card front before adhering the foam backed floral.

  • The cards were embellished with cream pearls.
