Hello friends! Spellbinder’s new collection Propagation Garden is so unique and wonderful. For my cards, I am featuring Propagation Garden Frames, Laboratory Glassware. Propagated Plants and Propogation Garden Sentiments. These products are really fun to create with … so many possibilities!
For the card sample above, a panel of cream card stock measuring 4 1/4” by 5 1/2” was embossed with Classic Backdrop 3D Embossing Folder and adhered to an A2 sized card base.
The stand was constructed using the Propagation Garden Frames die set. The cuts were made from grey card stock and the rod from black. Both the frame and the hanging stand have base die cuts that are layered with ‘wood planks’. These are easily assembled as there are scorelines to guide the placement. The wood planks were inked lightly with pigment white ink before the rod was attached.
The two beakers were created using the Laboratory Glassware die set! So cute!
A base, the beaker outline and the measurement marks were cut from white card stock and the liquid from blue.
When assembling. I adhered the measurement die cut followed by the plants and roots from the Propagated Plants die set on the base die cut with the liquid die cut attached. The outline of the beaker was adhered last.
I added in some detailing on one of the plants with white coloured pencil.
The frame and stand were adhered to the card front with foam tape. The beakers were positioned on the stand adhering them to the card base with foam squares. The beakers were finished off with black hardware aligned to the rod.
The sentiment from Propogation Garden Sentiments was stamped with Versafine black ink on blue card stock. The coordinating die was used to cut both the sentiment and foam. The sentiment was stacked and adhered to the card front.
