I am OBSESSED with the 3D embossing folders in this collection. Today's card features one of them .... Floral and Vine 3D Embossing Folder! Stunning! AND the beautiful Wax Seal Stamps 3 Pack All Occasion ! AND Glimmer Alphabet Hot Foil Plate and Die Set! So much to love!
So before we get started, I want to talk about the Glimmer Alphabet Hot Foil Plate and Die Set because it is AWESOME! It comes with two glimmer plates; half of the lower case alphabet on each one. When the alphabet is foiled, there will be curved foiled registration marks around the perimeter to line up the accompanying die! This works perfectly! For this card, I used white foil from the Opaque White and Black Two Pack Glimmer Hot Foil Roll on pink card stock. But, as I will show in an upcoming post, the colour can be tailored with the coordinating Glimmer Alphabet Stencil that is available in the Glimmer Alphabet Bundle. The dies can also be used on their own for a clean look. Such a versatile set!
Alright then! A panel of white card stock spritzed lightly with water was embossed with the Floral and Vine 3D Embossing Folder. The little bit of moisture helps prevent the card stock from cracking.
On the back of the panel, a strip double sided tape was adhered. Pink string was wrapped, criss crossing it. The adhesive holds everything in place!
The panel was adhered to an A2 sized, top folding card base. I used liquid adhesive and applied it fairly liberally on the back of the panel. After it was adhered, the card base was placed under some weight, I used my Misti, until the adhesive was set.
One of the seals from Wax Seal Stamps 3 Pack All Occasion was used with Pink Damask Wax Beads. I also added one White Wax Bead after the pink wax melted and swirled it in. A dauber with white pigment ink was applied to the design to highlight it. The seal was adhered where the string criss crosses with Sealed For Summer Wax Seal Adhesive Circles.
The letters from Glimmer Alphabet Hot Foil Plate and Die Set for the word 'friend' were stacked on foam cut with the letter dies. By the way, while I was foiling, I did up three sets of the alphabet for future use!
The foam backed sentiment was adhered under the seal.
A super easy and fun card to make! Between embossing, hot foiling and wax seal stamping, the process to make this card was totally engaging! Variety is the spice of life!
