Hello everyone! I love Spellbinder's Snow Globes Collection! Today's cards feature the snow globe from Simon's Snow Globe with elements from Snowman Scene and Woodland Scene. If you have not had a chance to visit the previous post, Creating Pop-up Cards, check out the globes made with the Nativity Scene and the elements found in Simon's Snow Globe.
The snow globes for all of the cards were created with dies included in Simon's Snow Globe. The die for the base was used to cut card stock and sheet foam to provide some dimension.
The globes were die cut from Bristol Smooth card stock.
The globe for the above card was ink blended with Distress Oxide inks Fossilized Amber and Peacock Feathers. The globes were spattered with Dr. PH Martin's Bleedproof White.
Another circle was die cut from white card stock and cut with a landscape die included in Woodland Scene. After the snowscape was adhered, the base was mounted to the globe.
The birch trees were cut from both grey and black card stock. The black die cuts were adhered to the grey ones slightly offset to create a shadow.
The trees, bunny and the deer were adhered to the globe and Nuvo Stone Drops, Chalk White was applied to the trees.
The banner sentiment was cut from the green foam included in the Tropics Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets.
A panel of dark green card stock, 4" by 5 1/4", was adhered to an A2 sized card base. The globe was adhered to it.
For this card, the globe was inked with Unchartered Mariner and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks and spattered.
The snowscape was cut from white glitter card stock and the foam backed base was adhered to the globe.
The trees, a combination of white glitter card stock with a dark green overlay, were adhered to the globe. Antlers were adhered to the large deer and it was also added.
The banner sentiment was cut from the teal foam included in the Tropics Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets.
The ornaments, also included in the Woodland Scene die set, were cut from both the green and teal glitter foam. The ornament hangers were cut from silver foil card stock. Silver embroidery thread was taped to the back of the ornaments before they were adhered to a teal panel measuring 4" by 5 1/4". The thread ends were taped to the back of the panel.
The teal panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base and the globe mounted on the card front.
The background for this card was created with the Sparkling Snow 3D Embossing Folder. White card stock, A2 sized, was embossed and then embossed two more times with Pawsitively Satured Ink Cadette applied to the flat side of the embossing folder.
The globe was inked with Marine and both the embossed panel and globe were spattered.
The snowscape was adhered to the globe and the foam backed base mounted to it.
The elements from Snowman Scene were adhered to the globe and Nuvo Stone Drops, Chalk White was applied to the trees.
The sentiment, from blue card stock, was adhered to the base and the globe was mounted to the card front.
