Hello friends! I have a set of cards with a more masculine feel featuring Spellbinder’s Cheers to You Collection. The backgrounds have been pressed with the fabulous Buffalo Plaid Press Plate and decorated with silhouettes from Sprigs Registration Press Plates and Dies. Spellbinders has introduced a Full Size Black BetterPress Ink Pad and also a Full Size DIY BetterPress Blank Inkable Pad to create your own unique colour blend using the BetterPress Reinkers. I was excited to use both of these pads in today’s project!
Using the BetterPress Letterpress System, Buffalo Plaid Press Plate was pressed on Porcelain BetterPress A2 Cotton Card Panels. One panel was inked in Mulberry from the BetterPress Ink Regal Tones, Teal Topaz from BetterPress Ink Tropical Tones was used for another and the third panel was inked using the new Full Size Black BetterPress Ink Pad.
Mulberry and Cosmic Sky ink from the BetterPress Reinkers were applied to the Full Size DIY BetterPress Blank Inkable Pad. The ink was applied in two applications and left for several hours so the ink would absorb into the ink pad. The result was a deep blue with purple undertones.
The blue and mulberry plaid panels were pressed with the THANK YOU from the Thank You Blooms BetterPress. For the blue plaid panel, the press plate was inked with the DIY pad. The other one was inked with Versamark and gold embossed.
Two of the panels were cut using a die from the Mirrored Arch Labels set. The next largest die was used to cut indigo and mahogany card stock. The plaid panels were adhered to the solid coloured ones and mounted on a foam die cut.
The panels were adhered to A2 sized card bases. The card base for the blue plaid panel was covered with white card stock embossed with Classic Backdrop 3 D Embossing Folder.
The black plaid panel was adhered to a card base and stacked Mirrored Arch Labels die cuts of mahogany and black card stock were mounted on foam. The sentiment from Fresh Picked Sentiments was cut from silver foil and indigo card stock. They were offset and adhered to a foam die cut.
The foliage plates from Sprigs Registration Press Plates and Dies were inked with the DIY ink pad and cut with the coordinating dies. The sprigs were adhered with a combination of liquid adhesive and small foam squares.
The cards were embellished with iridescent confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
The Sprigs Registration Press Plates and Dies is accompanied by a registration template to create a multi- coloured background.
The sprigs were inked with Mulberrt, Teal Topaz, Cruise and Tiger and pressed on a Porcelain BetterPress A2 Cotton Card Panel.
The panel was pressed a second time with the THANK YOU from Thank You Blooms using Versamark and gold embossed.
It was trimmed to 4” by 5 1/4” and adhered to a black matted, A2 sized card base.
The card was embellished with iridescent confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
