Hello everyone! I love the Open House Collection by Spellbinders! The Open House Door Base can be extended for different looks and occasions with add-ons. I combined the Door Base with Open House Door Side Panel and Open House Pumpkin Topiary in a 5" by 7" Christmas card that is warm and welcoming.
Lots of die cutting for this card! I tackled it in stages beginning with the door and side panels and assembling before continuing with the transom windows. The palette of card stock is black and matte gold with pops of yellow, green and red. The yellow card stock used for the windows was warmed up with Distress Oxide inks Fossilized Amber and a touch of Walnut Stain..
The door and windows are stacked with four layers of die cuts to provide dimension against the the black background.
The black card front measuring 4 7/8" x 6 7/8" was spattered with Dr. PH Marten's Bleedproof White and mounted on a 5" x 7" card base.
The door and side panels followed by the transom windows were adhered to the card. Matte gold window mouldings were attached above the door and side panels.
The greenery, flowers and berries included in the Open House Door Base die set were cut and assembled.
The front step was adhered below the door.
The urns and foliage from Open House Pumpkin Topiary were die cut, assembled and adhered on either side of the door.
The negative die cut sentiment from Santa's Fireplace was cut from matte gold card stock and mounted on black card stock and a strip of foam.
The berries were highlighted with Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard.
Black Nuvo Drops were added to the flower centres.
