Hello everyone! Spellbinders' Stitched Ornament Display is a gorgeous die set. I have made a couple of cards already that highlight the beautifully detailed ornament. It can also be used to create home decor. Today's card utilizes the 'display' aspect of this set but put together as a shadow box card. This card will lie flat and fits perfectly into an envelope for 5" x7" cards. A special Christmas card that is mail friendly!!!
THE ORNAMENT
The ornament was put together first. The outline die was used to cut ivory card stock. Green glitter card stock was cut twice with the pretty detail overlay die and the ornament hanger. The string to hang the ornament was cut from black card stock.
The detail overlays and hanger were adhered to the ornament. The ornament was adhered to the string.
Small iridescent confetti were adhered to highlight the details on the overlay. A floral spray was created and accented with confetti. The confetti on the ornament was finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew and the berries on the sprays with Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard.
The spray was adhered to the ornament.
THE SHADOW BOX
Using the die that looks like a large label, green card stock was cut four times. Two of these die cuts were cut with the half circle die.
The two score lines on either end of the die cuts were creased into 'Z' folds.
A panel of ivory card stock measuring 5" x 7" was embossed with Tile Mosaic 3D Embossing Folder.
The two die cuts without the half circle cut out were adhered to the back of the top and bottom of the panel.
The panel was adhered to a 5" x 7" card base of ivory card stock.
The end pieces on the other two die cuts to create the display frame were adhered to the ones attached to the panel.
The ornament on a 'string' was adhered to the top of the display frame.
The side pieces to stabilize the stand were assembled and used to attach the top and bottom of the stand together.
The upper left hand corner was decorated with an arrangement of poinsettias, holly and branches. A smaller spray was created for the lower right hand side.
A sentiment from Glitter Wishes was foiled with Aura glimmer hot foil on ivory card stock.
The card was embellished with iridescent confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
