The Large Die of the Month, Charmed Life, for November from Spellbinders is an absolute charmer — literally! This set features all the elements to create an elegant handbag with playful details. For this design, I used the flying pig included as a BONUS ITEM in the Deluxe Caboodle Kit. Super cute!

The background panel was created from Chiffon cardstock and adhered to an A2-size card base. The “L” shaped die forms the corner of the purse — cut from black cardstock and embossed with the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month for added texture. It was popped up on the lower right corner with foam tape for dimension.
The purse clasp, handle, and chain were layered in Chiffon and matte gold, then finished with a scarf die cut from the Hello It’s Me 6x6 patterned paper pack. I chose two adorable charms — the red cherries and the flying pig (a bonus die from the Deluxe Caboodle Kit). The pig was cut from Chiffon cardstock and finished with a sparkling pink glitter wing.
The intersecting points of the embossed design were embellished with gold confetti, sealed with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew for a gem-like shine. The sentiment, “Charmed to Know You”, comes from the BetterPress Of the Month, and both it and the foam layer beneath were die cut with the coordinating die.
