Hello, everyone! I have a pretty Christmas card in an unconventional colour palette featuring two gorgeous die sets by Spellbinders; Folk Song and Enchanted Garden. I have given these folk art style images a touch of glam with some sparkle in this easy to create card.
All of the components that make up the bird from Folk Song were die cut out violet card stock and glitter paper. The bird is easily assembled and was mounted on a foam die cut. The design on the breast was inlaid. A fine black gel pen was used to trace over the eye impression.
The flowers from Enchanted Garden were cut from lilac card stock & glitter paper and navy. The flowers were layered and deep yellow stamens were added.
The red violet panel, 4" by 5 1/4", was mounted on black sheet foam.
The flowers were arranged along the bottom of the card making sure there was room for the bird above them. The flowers were adhered. I like to work from both outside edges towards the middle to try to evenly space them. The stems were trimmed off flush to the bottom of the panel.
The panel was adhered to an A2 sized, black card base and the foom backed bird attached. A leafy branch from Folk Song was added to the bird's beak.
The die cut sentiment is from Silent Night Make A Scene. It was highlighted with Purple Opalescent Sequins finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
