Yana's Tulips collection designed by Yana Smakula for Spellbinders is filled with elegant florals and beautifully detailed dies and press plates. Tulips are such a classic Spring flower, and this collection captures their graceful shape perfectly. I created these cards featuring the free gift in the YANA’S Tulip Bundle and incorporated a few new dies including Colour Block Accent Arches and Right Stripe to add variety and interest to the designs.

Cards One & Two – Stripe Right Backgrounds

The first two cards feature Yana’s Tulip from the Yana's Tulips I Want It All! Bundle on backgrounds created with the Stripe Right die set.
For the yellow-toned card, the stripes were cut from Colorwheel Cardstock in Alabaster, Beeswax, and Tuscan using the Right Stripe die set. The stripes were adhered vertically onto an A2 card base. The tulip was die cut from Beeswax and Rainforest cardstock, while the outline die was cut from Alabaster cardstock and white sheet foam, then stacked to add dimension.
The second striped card uses a softer palette of Alabaster, Blush, and Tutu cardstock, with the stripes adhered horizontally across the card base. The tulip for this card was cut from Tutu cardstock, with the same stacked outline technique.
These tulips are wonderfully easy to assemble. After die cutting the outline, I used the negative space left from cutting the petals as a registration template, laying it over the tulip silhouette to perfectly place and adhere the petals.
The sentiments are from the Bouquet of Hugs Sentiments press plate set, pressed onto Alabaster cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die along with white sheet foam for stacking. The finished tulips and sentiments were adhered to the card bases and embellished with Aura Iridescent Confetti and Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
Card Three – Accent Arch Design

The third card combines Yana’s Tulip with the Colour Block Accent Arches die set.
A shaped card base was created using the largest die from Perfect Touch Arches, placed slightly over the fold of cream cardstock to create a hinged base. Because this technique trims the very top of the arch, an additional arch was cut and adhered to restore the full shape.
Three consecutive dies from the Colour Block Accent Arches set were used to cut cream, Tutu, and Blush cardstock, creating a layered background. The tulip and sentiment were assembled the same way as the previous cards, with the tulip petals cut from cream cardstock for a soft, elegant look.
The card was finished with Aura Iridescent Confetti and Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
Final Thoughts
The Yana's Tulips I Want It All! Bundle collection is such a joy to work with. There are endless ways to create both simple and layered designs. Whether paired with bold graphic backgrounds like Stripe Right or Color Block Accent Arches, the tulips remain the star of the show. It’s a beautiful collection for Spring cards, friendship greetings, and thoughtful handmade notes.
