Interactive cards always bring a smile, and the Spellbinders August Large Die of the Month, Boo Mobile, is the perfect set for creating a Halloween card full of fun and movement. This adorable die set features a charming little haunted car, but I couldn’t resist giving it a fun twist by transforming it into a Batmobile! With the addition of bat wings on either side of the hood and a spinning witch in the back seat, this playful Halloween scene is sure to delight.

Card Details

The star of this card is the delightful Boo Mobile, assembled from brightly coloured cardstock with plenty of layered details. I gave the little car a superhero-inspired makeover by adding bat wings to each side of the hood, creating a whimsical Halloween Batmobile.

Behind the wheel is a ghostly driver who clearly needs a few driving lessons! As you can see, his poor witch passenger is being tossed all over the back seat thanks to the Spellbinders Card Spinner mechanism hidden behind her. The spinner allows her to spin and sway as the card is moved, bringing this spooky scene to life. She really should be wearing her seatbelt!

The background was created using the Spellbinders August 3D Embossing Folder of the Month – Spooky Web. The design is oversized and includes two embossing designs, each large enough to emboss an entire A2 panel. I chose the spider web design for this card, but the other half features a bold jagged stripe pattern, making this set wonderfully versatile for a variety of Halloween projects.

To finish the card, I added a glittery “Hey Boo!” sentiment near the top, completing this fun and lighthearted Halloween design.

If you’d like to recreate this interactive card, all the step-by-step details can be found in my YouTube Video, where I walk you through the entire process from start to finish.

Closing Thoughts

The Boo Mobile Large Die of the Month is one of those sets that instantly sparks creativity. Whether you build it exactly as designed or customize it—as I did with an easy Batmobile makeover—it’s guaranteed to bring a smile. Paired with a Card Spinner and the detailed Spooky Web 3D Embossing Folder, this project is packed with fun, movement, and Halloween charm.

I hope this card inspires you to add a little interactive magic to your Halloween crafting. Have fun, enjoy creating, and happy crafting!
