Hello friends! Spellbinder's Small Die of the Month, The Deep Blue Two, is such a sweet die set with everything you need to create an underwater scene! I love this die set that featuring two adorable divers! I have created a fun TUNNEL CARD that really lends itself to that deep, under the sea feeling. Check out the video tutorial HERE.

The August "New Subscriber" registration window will be open August 6th to the 27th. Sign up in August and receive the current design.

All of the elements were die cut from Colorwheel Cardstock: Violet, Teal Topaz, Mulberry, Tuscan, Fern, Peridot, Chiffon and Tutu. The tunnel card front and insert panels are from Violet and the back from Indigo. Multiples of the underwater plants were cut. The elements that are layered were assembled.

Because the card front will have the concertina fold on either end, it is cut to 10 1/4“ x

5 1/2“. Both sides will be scored every half inch up to the 3” mark; there will be six score lines on either side of the panel. The two panels that will be inserted into the concertina folds are sized 4“ x 5 1/2“. The Indigo panel is 4 1/4” by 5 1/2”.

The Violet panels were ink blended with Distress Oxide Ink Chipped Sapphire and white pigment ink. Using a fan brush, they were spattered with water.

The tunnels were created with dies from the Underwater Tunnel die set. The sentiment is from the Large Die of the Month. Please view the video to see how the tunnel card was constructed and the final placement of all of the elements.
