Ten Cards with SPELLBINDER’S Quick & Easy Card Kit of the Month for May
Updated: May 8
Hello everyone! This is the first time I have created with Spellbinder's Quick & Easy Card Kit of the Month and I couldn't stop!!! So I have 10 cards! I could have made a lot more! Spreading Happiness includes EVERYTHING you need right down to the card bases, envelopes and adhesive! I had so much fun putting these cards together with the entire focus on lay out and dimension! No thought required about the decisions associated with colouring! These kits are called QUICK and EASY for a reason! All of the products found in the kit have been bold typed in the 'HOW TO' section of this post.
The May "New Subscriber" registration window will be available April 6 - 27th while supplies last.
To begin, I organized all of the Die Cut Shapes into categories .... flowers, leaves, trees, animals, buildings and 'other' of which there are two of each. This helped me to not only become familiar with the images available but, more importantly, to focus my attention so I could begin the process of figuring out what would compliment one another. I also incorporated some of the Chipboard Embellishments included in the kit. I began by laying out three different compositions and choosing the backgrounds from either the Patterned Paper, the coloured Card Panels or both!
After the backgrounds were put together and adhered to card bases,, the sentiments were chosen from the Puffy Sentiment and Ampersand Stickers. The Die Cut Shapes were placed on the backgrounds along with the sentiments. All of the elements were adhered with either the foam squares and adhesive tape included in the kit. I love dimension so I did have to add in additional foam adhesive and also incorporated my own liquid adhesive to adhere some of the elements.
I then proceeded to create the rest of the cards and continued with the 'three at a time' approach. Included in the kit is a bag of pretty sprinkles so, of course, I did create one shaker for the 10th card!
When the card collection was complete, some were embellished with gold foil pearls.
