STAMPtember has arrived! Simple Masking featuring Simon Says Stamp’s JUBILEE SENTIMENTS

Hello everyone! I am very excited to be participating in Simon Says Stamp's Blog Party celebrating the beginning of the month long celebration of STAMPtember! For tons of inspiration, be sure to visit Simon Says Stamp for links to all of the designer's blogs using Simon's newly released products.

I have a set of cards featuring a beautiful sentiment set, Jubilee Sentiments. The sentiments cover a number of occasions and include beautiful silhouette images. The silhouettes will be highlighted on easy ink blended backgrounds created with masks.

  • Trim three panels of Neenah Classic Crest 110 pound card stock to card front size, 4“ x 5 1/4“.

  • The masks were created with Simon Says Stamp's masking paper. For two of the cards, the masks were cut to cart front size. One was die cut with an arch from the Nested Dome Arches set while the other was cut with Etched Delicate Frond. For the third panel, a thin strip of masking paper was cut for the left hand side of the card and a wider strip was placed on the other side where the band would be inked.

  • The ink blending was completed with blender brushes using Simon Says Stamp's Pawsitively Saturated Inks. Cherry was applied to the base followed by Iris and Heather.

  • Both the silhouette images and sentiments were stamped with Black Onyx Versafine Ink. For the card with the arch, a strip of Post-it note Tape was placed along the bottom of the arch before stamping.

  • The panels were mounted on black matted, A2 sized card bases.

  • The cards were embellished with confetti, Simon’s Coral Dust, and finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

  • Some small accents of Black Ebony Nuvo Crystal Drops complete the cards.
