Hello friends! Spellbinders’ Wildflowers Collection by Lisa Horton is absolutely gorgeous. From beautiful backgrounds to delicate, detailed, layered florals, there is everything you need to create cards for any occasion. I have two cards to share with you featuring Layered Wildflowers, Layered Gladiolus, ScriptText BetterPress Plate and Scalloped and Stitched Edge Ovals,
LAYERED GLADIOLUS
The background for this card was created with the Scalloped and Stitched Edge Ovals die set from Chiffon, Blush and Alabaster cardstock. The ovals were layered onto an A2 sized, black card base. The flowers from the Layered Gladiolus were cut from Blush and Mulberry with Beeswax centres. Rainforest and Peridot were used the leaves. Both the bow included in the Scalloped and Stitched Edge Ovals die set and the sentiment from Classic Sentiments were cut from Blush cardstock. The flower and sentiment were stacked with foam on the card front.
LAYERED WILDFLOWERS
ScriptText BetterPress Plate was foiled with Aura Hot Foil using the Glimmer Hot Foil System onto Mulberry cardstock. I love that the letter press plates do double duty! The panel was cut with one of the dies included in the A2 Matting Basics. This rectangle was then cut again with a detailed edge die from the Stitched Scallop Card Front & Tag die set. The rectangle was mounted on black sheet foam and centred onto an A2, black card base. The thin frame was adhered directly to the card base fitting snuggly around the foam backed panel.
The Layered Wildflowers die set includes three flowers. The blooms were cut from Alabaster, Chiffon and Orchid. Beeswax, Rainforest, Alabaster and Black were used for the flower centres and Rainforest and Peridot for the stems and leaves. The flowers were adhered to the card front with the stems crisscrossing. Two flowers were adhered directly to the card front and one flower was popped up with a foam square. The bouquet was finished with a bow cut from gold foil card stock. The sentiment from the Classic Sentiments were cut from Mulberry and adhered to a gold shadows.
