Hello friends! I am in love with a beautiful layering stamp set by Simon Hurley for Spellbinders. Wild About You is a large set of animals found in tropical forests, grasslands and savannas. Each animal has two layers; the detail is stamped in black followed by a layer to add in a suggestion of colour. This set also has coordinating dies. Love!

All of the Wild About You animals were stamped using a stamping platform. Although not necessary, it certainly does make it easier to align the layers. The detail layer was stamped with black ink for all animals. Some animals were stamped on white card stock and others on cream. Distress Oxide Inks were used for the second layer; Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin or Pumice Stone. The animals were cut with the coordinating dies.

For this pair of cards, Colorwheel Cardstock Seaside was inked lightly with White Pigment Ink on the top end of the panel. Profiles of clouds were cut from white card stock and grasslands from a combination of Tuscan and Beeswax cardstock using the Landscape Edges die set. White ink was added to the top edges of the foreground and Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass to the bottom of the clouds. They were adhered to the seaside panel and then mounted onto an A2 card base. The grasslands were popped up with foam tape. The two dies from Under The Sun were cut from Tuscan and Beeswax. The top layer was also cut from black sheet foam. The top layer was highlighted with Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink on the rays and stacked on the foam before being adhered to the base layer. The sun was positioned on the card, followed by the animals. Foam squares were used to stabilize the animals where they overhanged the popped up foreground. The cards were embellished with Nuvo Crystal Drops English Mustard.

One of the dies from Perfect Touch Arches was used to cut Fern cardstock. A circle die from a nesting die set was used to cut the arch. The arch was then embossed with Scattered Tropics 3D Embossing Folder. The high points were rubbed with the Bundled Sage Ink Pad and adhered to an A2 black card base with foam tape. The circle die cut was stamped with the sentiment and recessed in the die cut opening. Leafy branches were cut from Fern cardstock using Seasonal Wreath Foliage. The tips of the leaves were inked with Bundled Sage before the central stems were adhered to the embossed panel. After the animals were adhered, Nuvo Crystal Drops were used to highlight the sentiment and embellish the foliage.
