There’s something about summer camp that instantly brings back cozy memories—campfires, forest trails, and carefree days outdoors. The new SUMMER CAMP Collection by Allison Frazier for Spellbinders captures that feeling perfectly! This collection is wonderfully expansive, filled with charming characters, scenic elements, and playful accessories that make it easy to create sweet cards for any occasion all season long.

For today’s cards, I paired elements from the collection with the new Playful Stitched Panels nesting die set (because you can never go wrong with a great background!). All three cards were created using Colorwheel Cardstock, with A2 card bases in Fawn. To add depth and interest, I adhered some elements flat and popped others up with foam squares for that extra dimension. The sentiments are from the Summertime Sentiments stamp set, which ties everything together beautifully.

CARD ONE - SKUNK

This adorable little scene features elements from Trailside Trio, Trails End, and Camp Days. I love how it feels like a quiet moment in the woods.

The skunk was die cut from black and white cardstock, while the s’more stick was cut from Truffle. The campfire layers were built using Truffle, Acorn, Beeswax, Saffron, Cinnamon, and Tuscan, giving it that warm glowing effect.

For the trees, I used Truffle for the trunks and a mix of greens—Peridot, Rainforest, and Fern—to create variation and depth in the background. A few clear embellishments add a soft finishing touch with Nuvo Crystal Drops, almost like morning dew.

CARD TWO - SQUIRREL

This card has such a playful, relaxed summer vibe! The background was created using the Playful Stitched Panels die set with Windy and Fawn cardstock. I added sheet foam behind the blue panel for dimension, then trimmed the Fawn panel to about one-third and adhered it along the bottom.

The squirrel from Woodland Trio was cut from Anchor and Fog cardstock. The trees (from Trails End) were cut from Truffle and Fern.

All the fun accessories—from Camp Days—were cut using Acorn, Tuscany, and Oceanside, and that sweet hammock (from Trails End) was layered with Truffle, Tuscan, and Beeswax. The mix of elements really brings this little campsite to life!

CARD THREE - FOX

For this cheerful summer scene, I used the same background technique as the squirrel card with the Playful Stitched Panels.

The fox from Trailside Trio was cut from Cinnamon and Alabaster cardstock—such a perfect warm combo! The signpost (from Trails End) was cut from Truffle and Alabaster.

The archery target and ice cream elements from Camp Days were created using a mix of Tuscan, Truffle, Beeswax, Anchor, Alabaster, Fawn, Blush, and Terra Cotta. These bright, playful details really capture that carefree summer energy.

Closing Thoughts

This collection is truly packed with possibilities. Whether you’re creating woodland scenes, playful summer moments, or heartfelt cards for loved ones, the SUMMER CAMP Collection has everything you need to mix, match, and layer to your heart’s content.

I especially love how versatile the elements are—you can go from cozy campfires to bright summer fun just by switching up the accessories and colours. And paired with the Playful Stitched Panels, it makes building dimensional scenes effortless.

If you’re looking to create cards that feel joyful, nostalgic, and full of personality, this collection is definitely one to reach for!
