Welcome to Christmas in July! Spellbinders’ month long celebration begins with Christmas themed clubs. I love making Christmas cards and I appreciate getting a kick start to a busy season! Stitching Die of the Month, Frosted Stitch, is a gorgeous die set perfect for making a unique shaped card.
The July "New Subscriber" registration window will be open July 6th to the 27th. Sign up in July and receive the current design.

The card base was created using the background die. An oversized piece of white cardstock was creased. The die was positioned so the top of the die was overhanging the crease by about 1/4”.
An additional panel was cut for each card using this die to adhere to the card base, one from white and the other from gold glitter cardstock.
The stitching die was used to cut Colorwheel Cardstock; one from Indigo and the other from Chiffon.

The Chiffon panel was stitched with pink embroidery floss and gold was used for the Indigo panel.
I like to use Tombow adhesive to adhere stitched elements. The adhesive was applied catching all the triangular stitched areas and left to dry until it was in its tacky state.
The stitched panels were aligned to the card bases and placed under some weight.

The sentiments are included in the BetterPress of the Month. Instead of letterpressing, they were hot foiled in gold. BetterPress plates foil beautifully! The coordinating die was used to cut both the sentiment and foam. The sentiment was stacked and adhered to the card front.
