Hello friends! Spellbinders’ Die of the Month, Fairways & Fish Tales, is a fabulous die set! As the name suggests, it covers a lot of people’s favourite past times; golfing and fishing. For me, I find masculine cards a bit more challenging. Although this set is perfect for both genders, it definitely ticks off the boxes for making a great card for the men/boys in our lives.
The March "New Subscriber" registration window will be open March 6th to the 27th. Sign up in March and receive the current design.

The backgrounds for these cards were created with die cut elements from Set Sail Die Set, Guiding Light Die Set and Landscape Edges. Whether cut from white or coloured cardstock, Distress Oxide Inks were added to create depth.
The Deluxe Caboodle Club for this month includes a BetterPress sentiment set with a coordinating die. There are a number of sentiments that coordinate with the fishing and golfing theme. The sentiments are pressed at the same time and cut all at once with one die. The sentiments for these cards were popped up on foam die cuts.

For the golf card, the landscape elements were arranged on a blended blue background and cut with a die from the Essential Stylish Ovals die set.
The tee and golf ball were assembled and adhered with a foam square. The golf club was also assembled, slipped behind the golf ball and mounted with a foam square as well.
The clouds and gulls from the Set Sail Die Set were used to complete the scene. The clouds were adhered with foam squares.

The dusk background for this card was blended with a combination of Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber and Faded Jeans. The landscape elements were arranged on the ink blended panel and cut with a die from the Essential Stylish Ovals die set.
The fisherman, fishing pole and fish were assembled, and the fisherman was popped up with foam squares.
The evening sky was studded with small micro crystals.
