Hello, everyone! Spellbinders' Stylized Floral Kaleidoscope Slimline is so beautiful! I love the layered floral medallions and the two tone leaf. This all die cut card is super easy to pull together; just choose your favourite colour combination and away you go!
The colour combination for this card is black, ivory and two tones of soft pink.
There are two dies to create the trellis; one cuts a solid background and when combined with the detail die, the result is a stand alone trellis. I used the two dies together to cut black card stock.
There are three dies for the floral medallion. To add some dimension, the base die was cut four times from black card stock. The remaining two dies were cut from two shades of pink card stock. The floral medallions were stacked.
The leaves are put together with two dies. The background die cuts the leaf in two pieces. This die was used to cut the two shades of pink card stock six times. The detailed die that creates the veins was cut from the lightest shade. When the leaves were put together, the base leaf was laid out with the two different colours of pink and the veining adhered over top.
To put the card together, the trellis was adhered to an ivory card base measuring eight and three-quarter inches by three and three-quarter inches.
Each stacked floral medallions was first adhered to a pair of overlapping leaves and then attached to the trellis. Weight was placed over the medallions to ensure good contact.
The sentiment included with the die set was cut from pink card stock and stacked on foam before being adhered to the centre medallion.
Pink Opalescent Sequins finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew were added to the flower centres and used to accent the card.
