Spellbinders Large Die of the Month ‘TROPICAL BLOOMS’ for June, 2026

Nothing says summer quite like tropical blooms, and the June Large Die of the Month  delivers all the island vibes! Tropical Blooms is bold, vibrant, and packed with gorgeous layered florals and foliage that create stunning arrangements with plenty of dimension. For this card, I leaned into rich jewel tones and dramatic contrast for a tropical design that really pops against a dark background.

Card Details

This large die set is absolutely stunning! I used a rich colour palette, die cutting from Colorwheel Cardstock in Rainforest, Fern, Mulberry, Violet, Cosmic Sky, Tuscan, and Indigo. Most of the elements require assembly, but they come together easily and create beautiful layered details.

An A2 card base was covered with a panel of Indigo cardstock to create a bold backdrop for all of the colourful die cuts. To build the floral arrangement, I began by adhering the leaves first, fanning them outward from the centre of the panel to create the foundation for the bouquet.

The included Aloha sentiment was die cut from Mulberry cardstock along with black sheet foam for dimension. Once stacked together, it was adhered at an angle across the foliage, creating the focal point for the arrangement.

The flowers were then tucked throughout the leaves, layering the larger blooms first before adding smaller flowers throughout the design. A cluster of tiny blooms spilling toward the bottom of the card helps guide the eye across the arrangement and adds the perfect finishing touch.

I love how versatile this set is — you can create anything from bold tropical bouquets to smaller floral accents, and the included sentiment makes creating finished cards incredibly easy. The layered elements and vibrant colours make this one of those die sets that practically does all the work for you!
