Ahoy matey! I am totally loving Spellbinders’ theme for this month’s Clubs of the Month. Sailor’s Light. the Large Die of the Month is fabulous! I have a fondness for lighthouses so this one definitely has my heart! This large set includes many elements to create a variety of Maritime scenes. You will have lots of fun creating with this one!
The June "New Subscriber" registration window will be open June 6th to the 27th. Sign up in June and receive the current design.

Colorwheel Cardstock was used to create this sweet lighthouse scene. All of my cardstock is swatched on the Color Swatch Wheel. The cardstock names have been stamped on each swatch using the coordinating stamp set, Color Swatch Names. The swatch wheel makes colour palette selection very easy.
The following cardstock was used to cut the elements; Seaside, Pomegranate, Beeswax
A floating vellum arch using a die from Perfect Arches was created to sit on a …. panel adhered to an A2 sized card base. The vellum was sandwiched between the scene and foam die cuts of the island, large mountain and the cloud. Check out the VIDEO for the Small Die of the Month featuring a floating vellum bottle for tips. Click HERE. You will be redirected to YouTube.

After the die cuts were assembled into the various elements, they were adhered to the vellum arch using a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares. Any elements that were adhered directly to the vellum were adhered with Tombow adhesive that had been left to dry until it was in its tack state.
The foam die cuts were adhered to the underside of the arch using the tacky Tombow.
The arch was adhered to the card front applying regular adhesive to the backside of the foam.

The sentiment is from the Reel Color Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set . It was pressed with black ink and cut with the coordinating die. The sentiment was mounted on a black foam die cut.
The card was finished off with a gold vellum ray of light adhered to the top of the lighthouse. A dot of Tombow was applied to the window and left to dry. The end of the light ray was pressed in place to this tacky adhesive.
